Serie A matchday 2: Esposito starts again, Casadei sidelined
Francesco Pio Esposito gets another start ahead of Thuram. Setback for Cesare Casadei, who will miss out.
In Serie A's second matchday, Francesco Pio Esposito will start again in the attacking role, winning out over Marcus Thuram in the pecking order. The tactical continuity suggests the coach is backing the young Italian talent to build on a promising debut.
Less encouraging news arrives from midfield: Cesare Casadei will be unavailable for this round. The absence of the midfielder represents a significant blow to the team's balance, just as the season's shape is beginning to take form.
