Ndour, the U-21 revelation impressing Fiorentina
The Fiorentina midfielder has emerged as a driving force with Italy's U-21 squad, even scoring from an extraordinary distance. His Serie A numbers remain modest, but his talent is undeniable.
Cher Ndour chose to make his mark in the most spectacular way possible: with a 75-metre goal scored wearing Italy's U-21 colours in a crucial qualifying match. A performance that thrust him into the national and international spotlight, attracting attention from across Europe.
At Fiorentina, the midfielder has secured a starting place despite fierce competition stemming from the club's substantial summer market investment. The right-sided midfielder, naturally right-footed, stands out for his ball-carrying runs and dangerous insertions: qualities that many have compared to Pogba, his idol. This season, he has accumulated 487 minutes with one assist in the league and one goal in the Coppa Italia.
It is with Italy's U-21 squad, however, that Ndour is expressing his full potential. Goals and performances of note have featured in recent outings with the Azzurrini, confirming the technical qualities that scouts from Europe's leading clubs have begun monitoring with growing interest.
