Mancini builds on youth: Kayode and Pio Esposito among the selected
The national team coach relies on a rising generation of talents. Among the names are Kayode, Romano, Doumbia, Vergara and the Esposito brothers.
Roberto Mancini has chosen to build the National Team project around a group of young footballers who are consolidating their careers. The choice spans different profiles: from defence to midfield, through to attack, with a clear willingness to invest in players who represent both the present and the immediate prospects of the Italian squad.
Among those selected are Michael Kayode, Alessandro Romano, Issa Doumbia, Antonio Vergara and Francesco Pio Esposito, alongside his brother Sebastiano. A roster that reflects attention towards players who are maturing in the leading realities of Italian and European football, capable of bringing freshness and dynamism to the group.
Mancini's chosen path demonstrates a clear intention of renewal, built on solid foundations around players who are already protagonists or rapidly rising in their respective clubs.
