D'Andrea called up for Club Italia under 14 project
Pordenone defender selected for the federally-run training session in Premariacco. Recognition of the youth academy's development work.
Nicola D'Andrea, a defender from Pordenone, has been selected to participate in the Club Italia Under 14 project. The training session took place on Tuesday in Premariacco at the Regional Federal Center in Friuli Venezia Giulia, continuing an initiative that started in September at the Federal Technical Center in Catanzaro.
The federally-run program serves as a bridge between youth development activities and the pathway to Italian national teams, particularly the Under 15 selection. D'Andrea was chosen by FIGC's Coordinator of Men's Youth National Teams Maurizio Viscidi and is the sole player from the province of Pordenone selected for this session.
For Pordenone, D'Andrea's inclusion reflects the progress made by the Youth Sector under Mirko Stefani's direction. The day also included a meeting between club technical staff and federation officials, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the FIGC and clubs in supporting young players' development.
